Does the 6400 have to have zero air for zero calibration or will zero nitrogen also do?
Our customer is in the process of calibrating their 6400 and they do not have zero air.
They would like to use pure N2 if applicable. Please advise.
Pure N2 will not work to zero the 6400E analyzer, unless you plan on operating it in a background of N2.
Oxygen acts as a quenching agent and will attenuate the signal some.
So if you flow zero air calibrate and then flow N2, your reading will be elevated.
